Course objectives:
- Develop understanding of basic dynamics responsible for large-scale circulations and variability on Earth.
- Learn how to use visualization and reanalysis tools to operationally assess climatology of desired quantities anywhere on Earth.
- Form an understanding of the physics of climate change and its consequences on DoD installations, personnel and global security.
Grading: All assignments must be completed. An incomplete may be given for a final grade if any assignments are not completed without approval from the instructor.
Two to three group projects will be assigned. The entire grade will be based on these projects.
